Last week a technical team comprising of NGORA, CONGOMA, Ministry of Gender and an International consultant, Robin MacGregor met to consolidate input received into the NGO Regulations. After the consolidation, NGORA provided feedback to all organisations and individuals who gave the input.
On Friday NGORA invited them to a roundtable discussions in order to have an understanding on some of their input and also to provide them with NGORA’s considered view. The meeting also discussed the way forward in the development of the regulations.
The meeting was attended by NGORA officials and the International Consultant who has 10 years experience in the sector having previously worked for the Charity Commission of England. The meeting also had representatives from the National Advocacy Platform (NAP), Centre for Human Rights and Rehabilitation (CHRR), and the International NGOs Forum.
NGORA will share the second draft of the regulations after further consolidation.
